New games, new trailers, and other announcements from THQ Nordic at Gamescom 2018.

After skipping E3 2018 in favour of the FIFA World Cup, publisher THQ Nordic takes stage at Gamescom to make their big announcements for the next year or so. Here’s all the big announcements that THQ Nordic made at Gamescom 2018.

Desperados III announced, coming 2019.

The western themed real-time tactics franchise returns for a long awaited third instalment. Interestingly, THQ Nordic will be partnering with Mimimi Productions, the developers behind the critically acclaimed Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun. Desperados III will be released sometime in 2019 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Biomutant – New gameplay footage, delayed to summer 2019.

New gameplay footage of Biomutant, showing off character customisations, new abilities and more of it’s crazy combat system. One of 2018’s games that I feel deserves more attention, however, Biomutant has now been delayed to summer 2019.

Darksiders III – New Trailer

A new trailer for Darksiders III was released and a playable demo will be available at the THQ Nordic area. Darksiders III will release on 27th November 2018 on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Fade to Silence – Story Trailer

A new trailer for Fade to Silence was revealed that focuses on the survival game’s story. Fade to Silence is currently in Steam Early Access, with a full release date yet to be announced.

Monster Jam series revival.

THQ Nordic

THQ Nordic announced a new global and exclusive Monster Jam video game licensing deal. The first game will release sometime in 2019 and will be developed by Rainbow Studios, the studio responsible for the recent MX vs ATV games. THQ Nordic did not confirm any specific platforms though they did confirm that the licensing deal is multi-platform.

Saints Row: The Third is coming to the Switch.

That’s right, Saints Row: The Third and all of it’s DLC are coming to the Nintendo Switch. The Switch port is being handled by Deep Silver Fish Labs. A release date has yet to be announced.

To coincide with their presence at Gamescom 2018, THQ Nordic started a publisher weekend sale on Steam. With discounts of up to 90% off on the publisher’s library of games. The sale ends 27th August 2018.
