Codemasters announces Dirt Rally 2.0, releases 26th February, 2019.
Today, Codemasters announced DiRT Rally 2.0, the follow-up to the commercially and critically successful DiRT Rally. Codemasters made the announcement, via their official Twitter account, which also includes a trailer:
You asked for it. We’re here to deliver.

Codemasters claims that DiRT Rally 2.0 will mark a return to the simulation style of off-road racing, which made DiRT Rally so successful. In contrast to the previous game in the DiRT franchise, DIRT 4, which is generally considered to be more arcade style.
DIRT Rally will release on 26th February, 2019, on PC, PS4, and Xbox One. Interestingly, the PC version will also have a physical release (DVD), as well as a Steam release.
So what sort of content and features can we expect?
DiRT Rally 2.0 will feature six rally locations: New Zealand, Argentina, Spain, Poland, Australia, and the USA. Players will take on these stages with “a wide variety of cars from the history of the sport and modern day”. Additionally, the game will also feature eight official circuits from the FIA World Rallycross Championship. Players will be able to compete on these circuits with licensed Supercars and support series. Games modes include “Events and Championships in both single-player Career Campaign and a competitive online environment”.
Post-launch content? Well, Codemasters states that the Deluxe Edition will include “the first two seasons of post-launch additional content”. This will include three locations and five early vehicle unlocks, with more details on the seasons to be revealed soon.
Sadly, Codemasters makes no mention of any VR support, looks like we’ll have to wait for clarification.
