All Game Releases for October 2018.

Traditionally, Autumn is a busy period for game releases, as the world gears up for the holidays. September brought Autumn to a good start this year, with numerous exciting releases. Now it’s time for October to show its hand, as we head into the thick of the season. Let’s take a look at all the game releases for October 2018. As usual, we’ll take a look at some highlights before we go into the full release schedule. Highlights consist of some of the bigger, most anticipated releases, mixed in with some personal selections:

Forza Horizion 4

PC, Xbox One | Playground Games | 2nd October, 2018 | Link

The fourth instalment of the Foza Horizon series, the open-world arcade racing game. Set in a fictionalised representation of the UK, featuring a staggering number of over 450 licensed cars. Forza Horizon 4 will introduce changing seasons, and a shared synchronised world, with up to 72 players per server. But don’t worry, the game is also playable offline.

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey

PC, PS4, Xbox One | Ubisoft Quebec | 5th October, 2018 | Link

Successor to Assassin’s Creed Origins, which was generally considered to be a much needed revamp for Ubisoft’s biggest franchise. Set in the year 431 BCE, portraying a fictional story of the historical Peloponnesian War. The game will feature more RPG elements than any previous AC game, with dialogue options, branching quests, and even multiple endings.

Super Mario Party

Switch | Nd Cube | 5th October, 2018 | Link

The long running Super Mario-themed party game debuts on the Nintendo Switch. Of course, the traditional Party Mode makes a return; with up to four players navigating a board, and competing with one another on a variety of minigames. Another game mode, Partner Party, will allow players to play in teams of two. The game will be the first Super Mario Party game to feature online multiplayer, (although Party Mode will sadly be restricted to offline play).

Mark of the Ninja: Remastered

PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch | Klei Entertainment | 9th October, 2018 | Link

Remaster of classic stealth game, Mark of the Ninja, announced earlier this year. Featuring 4K resolution (on supported hardware), all new 5.1 surround sound, and the Special Edition DLC. This time around, the remaster is releasing on all current major platforms, so no excuses. Oh, and owners of the original game + DLC, will receive the remaster for free!

My Memory of Us

PC, PS4, Xbox One | Juggler Games | 9th October, 2018 | Link

One of my personal highlights from the Indie Arena Booth at Gamescom this year.
